UTSA Trumpet Ensemble

The UTSA trumpet ensemble is conducted by Mr. Adrian D. Griffin who also serves as the artistic director of the ensemble. The ensemble will serve as a minor ensemble for those students registering for credit as well as an ensemble that will perform throughout the university as needed for festivals and concerts.

  • The UTSA trumpet ensemble is open to all music majors who are currently taking lessons and have an emphasis in trumpet as their major instrument
  • The ensemble will meet one hour per week based on the schedules of the students and teacher
  • The ensemble will be an academic ensemble that will educate students on chamber music written for trumpet choir as well as a competitive ensemble competing at various competitions.

  • Trumpet Students will receive 15 lessons per semester.
  • Trumpet Students must be enrolled in a major ensemble every semester.
  • Trumpet Students must attend 15 performances a semester other than trumpet performances.
