SUMMER MUSIC INSTITUTE FOR PIANO AND STRINGS
The Summer Music Institute (SMI) at the University of Texas at San Antonio is a week-long intensive program for talented young musicians ages 13-18 to receive private lessons, chamber music coaching, master classes, and classroom instruction from distinguished music faculty from across Texas. This unique program offers students the opportunity for chamber music performance regardless of their experience level. Repertoire is carefully chosen with each student’s ability level in mind and will be mailed to participating students prior to the camp. SMI students will also be featured in both solo and chamber music recitals at the end of the week.
