Band Camp

2012 UTSA Middle School Band Camp

Band students with at least one year of playing experience and who will be entering the seventh, eighth, or ninth grade during the 2012-2013 school year, are invited to attend the 2012 University of Texas At San Antonio Middle School Band Camp. The camp will provide students with excellent music education opportunities combined with enjoyable extracurricular activities. Camp tuition is $295. This includes camp enrollment, instruction, recreation, lunches, and a camp T-shirt. A $100 deposit is required by May 25th 2012, in order to reserve a place at camp. Any remaining balance must be postmarked by June 8th, 2012. A $25 late fee will be added to any application postmarked after the June 8th deadline.

Tuition is 75% refundable if written notification is received on or before June 4th. Tuition is 50% refundable between June 4th and June 16th. No refund will be given after June 16th.

Camp will be held from 8:30AM to 5:30PM Monday thru Thursday. On Friday all students will perform in a concert and are released after their performance. Registration for camp will be held on Saturday, June 16th in order to avoid conflicts with Father’s Day. Any student who is not able to audition on Saturday will be placed in classes by the camp staff. Partial scholarships are available on a limited basis. To apply for a scholarship, please fill out the Scholarship Form (see link below). Scholarships are awarded based on targeted instrumentation and student need. For consideration, the scholarship form plus a non-refundable $25 deposit must be postmarked by May 4th, 2012. All scholarship applicants will be contacted by May 18th, 2012. Awards MUST be accepted by May 25th, 2012. Scholarships not accepted by this date will be forfeited. Please note, no full scholarships will be awarded. After scholarship notifications have been made, a camp application and minimum of $75 is due by May 25th 2012. Please note that the awarded scholarship is not part of your deposit. Final payment for camp is due by June 8, 2012 (postmarked). A $25 late fee will be added to any application postmarked after the June 8th deadline.
