Composition and Theory
The UTSA Department of Music offers a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Composition. This degree program prepares students with the skills to compose for various media genres. While enrolled in composition, students are also studying their primary instrument, participating in ensembles, and taking courses that support the concentration. The capstone experience is a recital featuring the student's compositions.
