1. What will be happening in the camp?

The morning session will be master classes where each student will work on tone, vibrato, and technical exercises as well as solos and etudes. It will be like a private lesson, but in front of the entire class.

In the afternoon we’ll be playing flute choirs. Don’t forget to bring your piccolos. A few alto and bass flutes will be available for us to share.

2. Will there be any performances?

There will be a final concert by the camp flute choir on Friday at 3 pm and during the week there will be a mini-performance by the camp faculty members.

3. What kind of housing is available for the camp?

There is limited on-campus housing. The deadline for dormitory housing is May 15. Please let Dr. Linard as soon as possible if you are interested. See below for a list of local motels.

4. When are applications due?

We’d like the applications as soon as possible, but the actual application deadline is
June 1. We need to know the numbers that will be attending so we can get the flute
choir parts ready on time. Applications received after June 1 will be accepted but will
be charged a $10 late fee.

5. Who do we make out the check to?

UTSA Music Department (or to pay by credit card call 210-458-4354.)

6. Is there housing available?

Housing (for high school camp only) is available through the camp in the UTSA
