About the Studio
The University of Texas at San Antonio Electronic Music Studio
is here so that students of the UTSA Department of Music can learn how to use synthesizers, mixing boards, multi-track tape machines, computer programs...basically all of our equipment...and the theory and principles behind these devices. We are here for composition majors and others interested in using electronics to make music and to learn about the tools available to them. And we are here to give students and faculty a facility in which to create electronic and computer music. The studio also supports concerts of electronic and computer music.
