Electronic Music Studio Rules
- No one may sign up for blocks exceeding 3 hours except
when those blocks are between midnight and 8am.
- Try to use a pencil when scheduling so changes to the
schedule can be made. If you sign up for a time and decide not to use it,
please erase your block from the schedule so someone else can use it.
- Please respect each other’s time in the studio. Start and
stop your session on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your
time, someone else can claim the studio for the rest of that hour.
- Leave the studio as you found it or better. Put anything
away, throw trash away, and zero out the studio. Make sure you undo any
unusual settings.
- Any personal items left in the studio are the owner’s
responsibility. Neither the university nor I accept any liability for your
personal property.
- Food and drinks are not permitted in the studio. Should
they magically appear, please keep them as far away from the equipment as
possible. Smoking is completely forbidden.
- When you leave, even if just for a few minutes, please
make sure the door is closed and locked behind you. Failure to close and
lock the door is grounds for losing studio privileges, failure of the
course, and/or liability for the contents of the studio.
- If no one is immediately following you in the studio, make
sure the lights are off and the studio is powered down before leaving.
- The computers are here for course work. Although some
limited surfing of the web and email checking will be tolerated, you
should limit any non-course related computer activities as much as
possible. Also, do not download anything to the computers unless you
receive permission from Dr. Heuser ahead of time.
- Only UTSA students are allowed in the studio, and
students not enrolled in MUS 3123 should always be accompanied by a MUS
3123 student.
- Do not remove anything from the studio.
- Treat all equipment with care. Do not overpower the
speakers or your ears with sounds which are excessively loud.
- Always power the studio up and down using the power strip
behind the computers.
