DSP Functions on the K2000
Soft Buttons:
- Cut
- Copy
- Paste
- Samp2 - for selecting second sample for DSP Functions which need it (Mix, Insert, MixBeat, Replicate, MixEcho, )
- Go - do it
- Done - exits from the DSP page back to the sample editor
Start and End Time: everything you do in the DSP editor only affects the sample between the start and end time. So set these before you begin editing.
DSP Functions
- Normalize
- Truncate
- Volume adjust
- Clear (creates sections of silence)
- Delete
- Reverse
- Invert (usually doesn't sound different, but useful if combining two versions of the same sample in one program)
- Insert Zero (inserts silence)
- Mix*
- Insert*
- Volume Ramp
- Crescendo/Decrescendo (like volume ramp but with less user input)
- Resample (used to change the sampling rate of a sample; useful when you want to use a DSP function that requires a second sample and the two samples are at different sampling rate. If you don't resample, the pitch of one will change.)
- Time Warp
- Pitch Shift
- Mix Beat*
- Replicate*
- Mix Echo*
- Beat Volume Adjust
- Crossfade Loop
* indicates functions which require a second sample.
