Digital I/O:

for audio tracks, the stereo digital inputs (S/DIF) are mono 17 & 18;

the optical inputs (off the busses on the board) are mono 9-16.

Automation:

To enable automation, go to automation set-up under the Basic menu and enable automation playback.

To have the conductor track determine your tempo:

Make sure that you have chosen “conductor track” under the tempo control (it is over the tempo slider, usually to the right of the tape transport window).

If you cannot get signal into Digital Performer, try opening the Audio Monitor window and clicking on the headphone icon at the top of the Monitor. For some stupid reason this has to be checked and sometimes it isn’t.
