Edie R. Cooksey
Clinician
Edie R. Cooksey graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. In her fourteen years of teaching experience, she has taught all levels of Music and Choral Education, most recently in the past ten years in the High School level. Currently, she is the Choral Director at Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas, where choirs under her direction have received numerous sweepstakes awards and superior ratings in UIL competition and various choral festivals. The Madison High School Chorale Women under the direction of Edie Cooksey were invited to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association State Convention in 2008 as a featured honor choir. Recognized as an outstanding teacher by MENC in 2000, Edie is a member of TMEA, TMAA, TCDA, and ACDA. Edie is an active adjudicator, clinician and is currently the Area Chair for Area E.
