Sean Strode holds a Master of Music in Jazz Pedagogy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. Currently, he is completing a Master of Music in Classical Performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

As a jazz guitarist, Mr. Strode has performed extensively throughout the Midwest and has studied with some of the world’s finest guitarists, such as Mick Goodrick, John Moulder and Jack Grassel. In addition, Sean performs on a Novax “Charlie Hunter” 8-String guitar.  This instrument is a guitar and bass hybrid, which allows both parts to be played simultaneously. As both a composer and classical, jazz, and eight-string guitarist, Mr. Strode seeks to find a balance between the modern and traditional aspects of guitar literature and continually strives to expand the boundaries of music .
