Stephanie Key

skeysoli@aol.comStephanie Key received her Bachelor of Music degree from New England Conservatory of Music in 1991, with Distinction in Performance. Having performed throughout the United States and internationally, she has commissioned and performed several premiers of works for clarinet by American composers. She recorded John Cage's Sonata for Clarinet on the MODE label, under the supervision of the composer, and has collaborated with several other composers on works written specifically for her. She is the Artistic Director and clarinetist with SOLI Chamber Ensemble, which, through its dedication to contemporary music has commissioned several works through several Meet the Composer and National Endowment for the Arts grants. She is currently on the music faculties of the University of Texas at San Antonio and Trinity University.
In August 1998 Stephanie completed a 3,300 mile cross-country bike ride to raise awareness and money for the American Lung Association.
